Introducing Artist Manager Courtney Servo Salvaxe

posted in: News, Staff | 0

Courtney Servo Salvaxe (Sur-boh Sal-baj) first cut her teeth in music at the sound booth of her home church in Portland, Oregon during the Fall of 2013. Quickly falling in love with audio engineering, she began a formal education in studio recording technology at Portland Community College before pursuing a business degree at Corban University. After short lived adventures as a manager and answering God’s call to move to Nashville with her dogs, she dove head first into primarily filling her calendar with audio, lighting, and video gigs.

Since diving head first into live production, Courtney has been called back into management with Raging Storm Records in the Spring of 2018. With her deep love of production, keen eye for detail, and her steadfast anchor and lover of her soul Jesus Christ, Courtney pours all she has into her work to bring glory to God and shine His light in the darkest of places.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” – Colossians 3:23-24

The Worshiper premiere’s their label debut single “14:30”

Raging Storm Records kicks off the new year at full blast with the release of “14:30”, the label debut single from The Worshiper. Featuring Nolan Smith from the band Remove the Earth, the song is a narrative about maintaining faith amidst adversity.

The band uses their powerful breakdowns and sing-along choruses to portray the biblical story of Peter meeting Jesus on the sea, from Matthew 14:30. Faced with impossible odds, but within sight of Jesus, Peter cries out “Lord save me; a phrase featured heavily in the song’s lyrics.

“This song deals with my personal struggle to have full faith in God when life is beating down on you with stress, anxiety, and hopelessness” says Nathaniel Steelman, lead vocalist for The Worshiper. “It’s so easy to doubt God’s plan when you are focused on the storm and not Jesus’ hand reaching down to pull you above.”

Guest vocalist Nolan adds, “I’ve known the guys in The Worshiper for years now, basically since their formation and seeing them at their very first show. It’s been so amazing watching them develop into a more professional act over the last 2 and a half years. Not only are they talented, passionate, and driven musicians – but they are among the nicest and most genuine people that I’ve ever come in contact with. Working with them on this single was nothing short of the upmost honor and pleasure, and I can’t wait to see where they go from here.”

The single will be part of a full album expected to be released later this year. Keep an eye out for The Worshiper on the road this spring in support of their upcoming release.

BoughtXBlood Signs with Raging Storm Records

Lynchburg, VA – Raging Storm Records proudly welcomes BoughtXBlood as its first new band in over five years. The signing follows a string of recent accomplishments for the band, including a tour stop on the HM Magazine Stage at Creation Fest 2017, an upcoming show with P.O.D. at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival Pre-Party, and the recent release of their new single “I’m Done”, a song that takes a tough stance against sin and shows just how much the bands faith impacts their music and their lives.

We are honored to have the chance to earn not only the business, but the friendship of a band like BoughtXBlood. These guys represent exactly what we want in a band: hard work, creative music, and a true desire to share their faith. It’s all too easy for bands in this genre to tone down their beliefs, but they stand firm. From the moment I heard BXB, I was not just entertained but convicted. The whole team at Raging Storm stands behind them and their message. We look forward to coming alongside this band and growing together.

BXB writes:

“BoughtXBlood is elated to sign with Raging Storm! We truly feel that God has led us to this point, as He has given, and taken away, in order that His will for BXB be accomplished. It is clear to us that RSR believes in The Message we are trying to convey. The label staff has been extremely helpful and supportive, which confirms for us that this will be a productive partnership that will grow us as a band, and a ministry, while furthering RSR’s efforts to expand the label. We are looking forward to greater opportunities than might have been available to us as a DIY band. The sky is the limit and we cannot wait to create more music and deeper relationships with everyone at Raging Storm Records!”

Raging Storm Records is happy to announce the hiring of Lisa Wessel as their Marketing Director. This completes their new management team following their recent re-launch.

Lisa began her career in the music industry as a teenager. She states: “I always had a passion for learning and spent countless hours at libraries and at Barnes & Noble, reading every book I could on marketing and the music industry.” She then went on to study Marketing at Houghton College while still continuing her work in the industry.

Lisa spent many years as an Independent Marketing Consultant working with various Indie and Major labels and artists. Just like RSR, she took an extended hiatus from the industry in recent years. “Never would I have thought that God would lead me back to where it all began, in the music industry. I truly have a passion for music and providing support to artists so they can go out and pursue their dreams on the stage.”
